NHL bets: Add some Friday shots to your playoff tab

It's a packed night in the NHL playoffs, with four games, and once again, it's the late-night Western Conference matchups that draw us in at first glance. Fresh off a 2-0 article sweep, let's go for another clean day on the ice, shall we?

Note: FanDuel has the best prices on both of these targets, but I'm opting for a slightly better price to include the potential for overtime shots.

Artturi Lehkonen over 2.5 SOG (+105 Fanatics)

Avalanche vs. Predators, 7:30 p.m. ET

Lehkonen has looked great for Colorado so far in this series, logging 11 SOGs on 16 attempts and scoring in both games. He was buzzing around in Game 2, and it seemed only a matter of time before he buried one.

Heading home, I do expect the Avalanche to dictate the pace here, and I want to back Lehkonen to keep it rolling. He is now over this line in six of his past seven against Winnipeg, with at least 4+ shots in three straight games over the past two weeks.

At this price, sign me up, and I like his goal/point a lot also.

Kevin Fiala over 2.5 SOG (-120 DraftKings)

Oilers vs. Kings, 10:30 p.m. ET

I do not see the pace slowing down in this Oilers-Kings series at all. As you likely know by now, this is the third straight postseason these two teams are meeting, which gives us quite a rich sample size to lean on as we look to glean betting insights.

When you look at what happens when the series heads to Los Angeles, the clearest takeaway I see is to expect plenty of Kings shots. In the seven home games they've had against Edmonton in the postseason the past two years, they've averaged 34 shots per game.

That gives me confidence to load up some Los Angeles SOG looks, and Kevin Fiala is worth flagging.

Fiala has seven shots through two games on 17 attempts, and he's averaging 3.83 shots per game on 7.17 attempts over his past six.

At home, he has logged 4+ shots in four of his last five and is over this line in five of his past six. At home against the Oilers, Fiala is over this 2.5 line in five of six, averaging 3.7 shots per game, and that includes two playoff games where Fiala piled up eight shots.
