Report: Update On Wendi Richter Making Potential Appearance For AEW

Don’t expect to see Wendi Richter in AEW anytime soon, despite Toni Storm’s teases to the contrary.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that, per sources, Wendi Richter was considered for an appearance in AEW after Toni Storm regularly made references to her. However, this is unlikely to happen, as Richter is under a WWE Legends Deal.

Sapp cites Rob Van Dam, who has implied that he had WWE’s blessing to work for AEW, but there is no word on whether he is on a Legends Deal as well.

Storm has brought Richter up at multiple AEW press scrums in the past. She has teased the two of them crossing paths. That being said, these references have lessened in recent months.

Richter has previously said that she would do an appearance if the money was right.
